Appel Farm selects instructors who are not only skilled in their fields but who also have a strong commitment to sharing their passion for the arts with children and adults. Our educators have a wide range of teaching experiences including museums, art centers, community organizations and schools.

Josh Genereux : BFA Ceramics and Printmaking, Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ. An experienced potter, Josh's work has been exhibited throughout South Jersey including the Perkins Center of the Arts and Millville's Clay College. His teaching experience includes both adults and children.
Nathan Harmon: BFA Musical Theater, New York University, NY. An actor, singer, teacher and director, Nathan has over seven years experience working with young actors. He has lead acting, voice and movement classes for the Philadelphia Department of Recreation and its Youth Performers Theater Camp.
Lana Heckendorn: BFA, Ceramics, Moore College of Art. Lana's teaching experience includes The Clay Studio, Perkins Center for the Arts and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Her work has been exhibited across the United States including the Baltimore Clayworks, The Clay Studio in Philadelphia and Cumberland County Clay College.
Kassandra Huerta: Kassandra is currently working toward her degree in Arts Education at Gloucester County College. She has been a ceramic instructor for children and adults at Cumberland County College and the A.C.E. program in Millville. She is also Art of the Child Coordinator at Camden County College.
Matina Lagakos: B.A., Art, Douglass College, Rutgers University. Matina has taught at the Bancroft School. She has 30 years of clay experience and has exhibited at Perkins Center for the Arts, Collingswood May Fair and Head House Square in Philadelphia.
Gretchen LaGrossa: B.F.A., Ceramics, Tyler School of Art. For 26 years, Gretchen was a sculptor and designer for the Franklin Mint. Her teaching experience includes The Baldwin School, Archbishop Prendergast High School and The Children’s Beach House. She has exhibited her work at The Woodmere Art Museum, Moore College of Art and the Port of History Museum.
Tracey Morgado: Tracey has completed certification workshops in Hatha, Integral and Iyengar yoga. She has taught both children and adults at the YMCA in Vineland as well as many local health clubs.
Doris Nogueira-Rogers: B.A., Art and Design, Escola de Belas Arts Rio de Janeiro. In addition to exhibiting her work nationally and internationally, Doris has been actively involved in education through her work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Taller Puertorriqueno and other institutions.
Lori Raggio: Lori’s teaching experience includes the Woodlynde School, Perkins Center for the Arts and the Cheltenham Center for the Arts. Lori was the Power of Art recipient (1999), presented by the Robert Rauschenburg Foundation and the Lab School of Washington, DC.
Sharon Richman: BA in Fine Arts, Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ. Sharon is the owner of The Knitting Store in Cherry Hill, NJ where she also leads instructional classes for adults. In addition to knitting, she has a lead arts program for children at Camp Council.
Dennis Tawes: A self-taught artist, Dennis’ work has been exhibited both locally and nationally. His teaching experience includes the A.C.E. program in Millville, Cumberland County College, Millville Adult Continuing Education and Branson Performing Arts Center.
Narcissa Weatherbee : BA, Art Education, Glassboro State College. She has also studied at the Brooklyn Museum of Art School, the Fleisher Art Memorial and Cooper Union Art School. Her work has been exhibited regionally at Allens Lane Art Center, Philadelphia Art Alliance and Gloucester County College. She has taught at Paulsboro High School and Woodbury Friends School.
