The Mission Of Healthy HeARTS Festival
Rooted in Appel Farm’s core values of safety, community, personal growth, and fun, our programs combine traditional art-making activities with integrated learning experience. We offer an interdisciplinary process incorporating physical and emotional health and community building as part of the art-making experience.
A primary goal of this event is to provide wellness resources to our community and encourage creative, fun ways to explore artistic avenues towards personal health and community wellness. Key areas of focus include sustainability; restorative mental health practices; and movement-based activities that promote improved physical and mental health.
This is a strong foundation upon which to meet the ongoing wellness needs of the South Jersey regional community, which have been exacerbated by recent crises (pandemic, reckoning of equity and racial justice, climate crisis, supply chain demand).
