Jeremy Basescu (he/him) currently serves as Senior Director of Visits at Middle States Association, where his team connects educators with schools across the world to learn from each other. Previous arts education positions include Producing Director for Story Pirates and Teaching Artist for Lincoln Center Education, Theater for a Young Audience, and Young Playwrights, Inc.. Jeremy has spent 15 summers at Appel Farm as a camper, CIT, theater director, head counselor, and proud parent. He earned an MFA in Playwriting and currently collaborates as a lyricist with composer and fellow Appel Farm alum Mike Leibowitz. Their opera For Love of Country will be available for audio streaming in 2026.
