Big Summer News: Meet Lake Garrison

Hello Appel Farm Families, We are so excited to share a brand new part of the Appel Farm experience for Summer 2026…  This summer, Appel Farm is officially partnering with Lake Garrison, a beautiful nearby freshwater lake that is going to bring even more adventure, connection, sunshine, and summer magic to camp. While our on-site pool will not be operational for the 2026 season due to major repairs and maintenance, our team has spent the past several months building a partnership that we cannot wait to share with our campers and their families! What started as a heartbreaking challenge in 2025 became an opportunity for growth and expansion in 2026. While we continue planning for long-term pool repairs in a way that is sustainable, safe, and thoughtfully done, we took this opportunity to expand Appel Farm and create an experience that feels connected to the spirit of a summer at camp. Lake Garrison is located just about 10 minutes from Appel Farm and will give campers the chance to swim, relax, play, and spend time together in a beautiful natural setting throughout the summer. Campers can enjoy the lake during Afternoon Free Choice and on Lazy Sunday or enroll in a brand new Lake Minor for swim and recreation time led by Appel Farm staff.  But that’s not all the water fun we will have this summer! Throughout the summer, campers will also have opportunities to enjoy:  Our beloved Beach Day tradition  Giant inflatable water slides Water-based games, team challenges, and outdoor recreation activities We didn’t forget about our Appel Farm families, either! Family members of Appel Farm campers will also receive a 50% discount on the daily admission rate when accompanying a camper from July 5th-August 3rd. We truly believe this partnership is going to become something really special at Appel Farm. There is something so classic and magical about lake days in the summer and we can’t wait to give our campers that experience! Our team has already visited the site, planned programming, coordinated transportation logistics, and worked closely with Lake Garrison staff to make sure this experience is safe, structured, exciting, and deeply aligned with the Appel Farm experience families know and love. We are incredibly excited about this new chapter and cannot wait to see campers making memories at the lake all summer long.
