Camp Nutrition and Food Allergies

We are just 46 days away from opening our doors for the start of the 2024 camp season! We are SO EXCITED and we can’t wait to welcome all of you to Appel Farm this summer. To ensure that we have all of the information to safely welcome your camper to camp, please complete all of your camper’s forms today!

To complete your forms, please log in to your Household Portal and navigate to the “forms” section of your account. You should see and complete the following forms.

Camp Nutrition and Food Allergies

This year, in the garden, there are lots of diverse leafy greens like lettuce, spinach, and arugula. We are also growing sweet peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, beets, peas, cucumbers, cabbage and more! We’ll also be growing lots of tender herbs for campers to taste!

Worried about your child being on a special diet while away from home? We offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options with every meal. The bountiful fresh salad bar is presented every day and is allergy-friendly, with no nuts or cheese. One table is designated as peanut-free. We are not a peanut-free camp, but we can accommodate children with mild nut allergies. In special cases, we will work with you to enable your child to bring their own foods to supplement their needs. Your child’s health is important to us and to our meal preparation team. 

Reminder! If your camper has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please indicate this on the Medical Form.
