Mo holds a BA in Theatre from Rowan University. While there she studied Stage Design and Stage Management, all while being very involved in shows run by both the department as well as student-run productions. Her favorite being an over–sized puppet show of A Christmas Carol, directed by TJ Jacobs. It was performed in 2021 at the Glassboro Town Square Christmas Tree Lighting. Mo was also active on campus as a member of the Student University Programmers. She served as a volunteer for two years before becoming a member of the Executive Board, first as the Director of Charitable Events. While in that position, Mo worked with her team to execute Rowan’s Holiday Helper Charity Event, an annual auction where local businesses donate gift baskets and those prizes are auctioned off. Mo helped raise over $6,000 for Gloucester County Toys for Tots that year. In her final year on the executive board, Mo served as Treasurer, where she worked with the different directors and committees to assign budgets and track spending of the $500,000 budget that was granted to the organization that year. During summer vacations, Mo would stay in South Jersey to work at Appel Farm as a camp counselor and technical theatre instructor.
After graduating in December of 2022, Mo traveled to California where she worked with the Disney Live Entertainment team at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim as a Production Assistant Intern, which in June 2023 became a Casual/Temporary role with the same title. While there, she assisted Production Managers and Producers in developing and executing large-scale live entertainment events within the Anaheim-based theme parks. Some notable events she worked on include the opening of the 100 Year Anniversary Fireworks Show Wondrous Journeys, directed by Jordan Perterson, the 2023 and 2024 Sweetheart Nites, Disneyland 2023 New Year’s Eve Celebration, and the introduction of Live Action Ariel from The Little Mermaid (2023). When Mo’s temporary position came to an end in March 2024, she returned home to New Jersey where she was able to come back Appel Farm to work again for the summer.
This is their first year as a member of AmeriCorps and they are so excited to get to spend it at Appel Farm, a place she has loved for a very long time.
I have worked in both Disneyland and Disney World!
