Stay Connected with Your Camper
April 17, 2026
đź’› Staying Connected at Camp
We know how important it is to stay connected while your camper is away at camp. At Appel Farm, families can stay in touch in two ways:
- Bunk1 (digital):Â Fast, easy messaging + daily photos
- Snail Mail (traditional):Â Letters and care packages
You can use either or both—whatever works best for your family!
📱 Bunk1 (Fast & Easy)
We use Bunk1, a private, secure platform that allows you to:
- Send messages (Bunk Notes)
- Receive replies from your camper
- View daily camp photos
🚀 Getting Started
Go to www.Bunk1.com
- New Families: Click “New Here? Get Started” → Enter code APPEL26
- Returning Families: Log in with last year’s info
✉️ Bunk Notes & Replies
When prompted to select a bundle, choose any of the messaging bundles that include Bunk Notes and Bunk Replies.
These bundles give you credits to send messages and allow your camper to reply using Bunk1’s barcoded stationery.
To receive replies from your camper, you must do one of the following:
- Purchase Unlimited Stationery as part of your bundle, OR
- Go to the Bunk Replies tab, print the stationery, and send it with your camper
đź”” Important Notes:
- Bunk Notes are printed each morning at 9:30 AM EST and delivered after lunch
- Notes sent after 9:00 AM will be delivered the following day
- If you send a Bunk Note but do not provide barcoded stationery, your camper will only be able to reply via snail mail
- We cannot scan or email camper letters. Bunk1 or snail mail are the only ways to hear back
📎 Need help with Bunk1?

✏️ What to Write
- Ask specific questions about their experience
- Share everyday updates from home
- Let them know you’re proud of them

Our campers have busy days, but we encourage letter writing!
We recommend packing:
- Pre-addressed, stamped envelopes for snail mail
- Stationery in a waterproof bag
We even offer fun letter-writing workshops to help campers stay connected!
