Program Structure

Our unique arts and learning program gives campers an opportunity to focus on specific art forms and try something new!

Camp Days

Monday – Saturday
The program consists of a five-period day with a choice of one Major, two Minors, and a Free Choice period daily, Monday through Saturday. Majors and Minors meet in modern air-conditioned facilities, or in appropriate outdoor art-making spaces. Our instructors emphasize the creative process, hands-on learning, and collaboration during these classes. Free Choice options allow campers to explore other areas of the arts, take a dip in the pool, get in additional rehearsal time, or spend extra time with their friends.

Sundays are a time for campers to take a break from their routine to try new things and relax. Sundays are for choosing your own adventure! We have a late optional breakfast, a full day’s schedule of different optional workshops and games happening all over camp, and a super fun all camp eveing activity to top it all off. Campers can hang out with their friends, take a dip in the pool, or go to an Appel Farm workshop! Lazy Sundays are the best!!

Length of Camp

One Week
Our one-week session is designed for the first-time camper to engage with process based learning and get comfortable with an overnight camp experience.

Two Weeks
Our two-week session welcomes campers of all ages and abilities to a process-based arts learning experience, with a focus on learning the craft without the pressure of a polished finished product.

Four Weeks
Campers enrolled in our four-week and longer sessions work towards performances and exhibitions for their families to enjoy.

In addition, all campers can perform and exhibit in our Friday Night Concerts, Acoustic Campfires, and Open Mic Nights.

Majors & Minors

Majors are offered every summer in core program areas: Theatre Performance, Technical Theatre, Music, Art + Technology, Dance, Visual Arts, Photography, Video, Creative Writing, and Sports & Swim.

Campers choose their Majors before camp begins and choices are guaranteed, but they still have the option of changing their mind during the first few days of camp.

Minors vary every summer and reflect the unique strengths of current staff. Campers can explore a unique art form, learn a new instrument, or study a specific area in-depth, without the pressure of preparing for a performance. Each department offers several minors, giving campers plenty of choice and variety in their daily schedule!
